Our Amazing Team

Lynda Miller

With a decade of experience at Rolling Hills Veterinary Service, I have proudly served as both a receptionist and veterinary assistant.

Alongside my husband, I am deeply involved in supporting our sons’ extensive 400 cow/calf/crop partnership. Our role goes beyond mere assistance; we provide warm meals and create a lively, entertaining environment for our six grandchildren while farm operations are underway.

My personal passions include exploring the natural beauty of our fields, forests, and riverbanks. I am particularly fascinated by discovering native artifacts and pondering the mysteries of time’s true age—a quest that I anticipate will take me a little while!

Trenda Gravel

Hello, I’m Trenda Gravel. For 17 years, I’ve been an integral part of Rolling Hills Veterinary Service, where my commitment has greatly contributed to our success.

Married with two children, I deeply value the joy and fulfillment that comes from family time.

My interests also include a passion for antiques. I find great excitement in uncovering historical treasures, each with its own unique story. This hobby not only connects me to the past but also brings a touch of history into my family’s life.

Sally Lapke

With 40 years at Rolling Hills Veterinary Service, I’m both the most experienced and, jokingly, the wisest member of our team, working as a receptionist and veterinary assistant.

Married to Dr. Tom Lapke, we share a large blended family of seven children and are excitedly expecting our seventh grandchild.

My passions include enjoying nature’s beauty during walks with our Golden Retriever, Gertie, and a keen interest in landscaping, painting, and repurposing items, a hobby my husband lovingly calls an addiction.

Sydney Kluesner

Hi, I’m Sydney Kluesner, and I’ve been with Rolling Hills Veterinary Services for three years, serving in my dual roles as a receptionist and veterinary assistant. My love for animals stems from my childhood on a dairy farm, a place I still enjoy helping out.

Beyond my professional life, I have a passion for interior decorating, baking, and gardening. I also enjoy outdoor walks with our two Australian Shepherds, joined by my fiancé Jared.

Jackie Freiburger

Hi, I’m Jackie, and I’ve been a proud member of Rolling Hills since 2017. I graduated from NICC-Calmar, where I earned an Associate’s degree in the Large Animal Veterinary Technician Program.

I live near St. Donatus with my husband Josh, our two children, Maryn and Maverick, and our two dogs, Snoopy and Josie. My life outside of work involves helping on the family farm with our herd of beef cows and calves.

Dr. Juli Wilson

Dr. Tom Lapke

Since joining Rolling Hills Veterinary Services in May 1994, I’ve found my professional home.

Growing up on a Cow Calf farm in Western Iowa, I developed a love for animals early on. This passion led me to Iowa State University, where I earned my degree in Animal Science in 1990 and my veterinary degree in 1994.

My work here has allowed me to engage with a wide variety of animals, shaped by the unique landscape and diverse livestock operations of this region.

Outside the clinic, I’m deeply committed to my family, enjoying every moment with my wife, our seven children, and our grandchildren. My journey in veterinary medicine is not just a career—it’s a reflection of my lifelong dedication to caring for animals and cherishing family.

Dr. Luke Thole

I became a part of the Rolling Hills Veterinary Service team in 2015, following my graduation from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

My wife, Samantha, and I, along with our four children – Charlie, William, Annalynne, and James – reside in Cascade.

My life outside of work is filled with family activities, coaching youth sports in our community, and supporting the Cougars and the Cyclones.

Dr. Logan McQuillen

I joined the Rolling Hills Veterinary Service team in 2022. Growing up with a passion for the sciences and being involved with livestock through my family’s cow calf operation led me to pursue a future in veterinary medicine. I received my undergraduate degrees in Biology and Human Physiology from the University of Iowa and went on to earn my DVM from the veterinary school in Ames, Iowa.

Working with Rolling Hills has given me the opportunity to not only return to where I grew up but also to work with a variety of animals and livestock operations.

My wife, Elizabeth, and I, along with our two daughters – Charlotte and Isabella – reside in my hometown of Monticello. Outside of work, our family enjoys being active in running, biking, and kayaking, participating in community activities, visiting friends and family, and cheering on the Hawkeyes.

Dr. Dan Meyer

I’m Dr. Dan Meyer and I grew up in Dyersville, Iowa. After attending Iowa State University for a degree in animal science, I continued on to vet school at Iowa State and graduated in 2015.

I’ve been practicing veterinary medicine in the Dyersville and surrounding areas for the last 9 years. My wife, Samantha, and I own a family heritage farm outside of Dyersville with a small herd of registered Hereford cows. We have four children: Mason, Leo, Mabel, and Dottie.

As a family, we enjoy working on our farm, showing cattle, and attending our children’s activities. I’m excited to serve the area and look forward to meeting new clients of Rolling Hills!
